Welcome to Wailing Bansidhe Investigations, Arizona's "go to" group for paranormal research and consulting. We have investigated locations all over this great state of ours, but we certainly haven't been everywhere...yet. If you are experiencing paranormal activity, we want to know about it! Our investigations are simple, thorough, and accurate, and at absolutely no cost to you. All data collected is used for the purpose of research and publication, and all client information is kept private. Other paranormal groups have come and gone, but we are in it for the long haul.

We are consummate professionals who understand the importance of discretion and presentation in all that we do, and we solemnly vow to never don a mullet or a trenchcoat.

And now, a rant by Katie:

I will freely admit it…I like to keep my fingers squarely on the pulse of the paranormal community. From time to time, I find myself googling other groups that I have heard of, or just to see what's crackin' in our neck of the woods. Each time I check, there is a new group popping up. Fundamentally, I think it is great that people are showing an interest and attempting to do their own research and draw their own conclusions. That is the motivation at the core of any paranormal research group.

Having said that, I would now like to commence a complete recalibration of paranormal research by throwing down the BS flag on a few things that are bugging me:

There is no official national organization that governs paranormal research. Paranormal research is not like nursing or insurance or other entities that are overseen by governmental organizations and that require licensure. There are a few godfathers of paranormal research that would like you to BELIEVE that aligning yourself to their network will somehow make you more legitimate. They generally have names that include the words "American", "International", or "Family" in their names, and often cost money to join. To use our own official terminology, this is unmitigated poppycock.

Orbs are a red herring. The debate over orbs has become rather comical and perfectly illustrates the new wave of bandwagon mentality that has seized the paranormal community. I can distinctly recall the days prior to the GHOST SHOW THAT SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS (rhymes with SLAPS) declaring that orbs are nothing but dust. Websites had many pictures of orbs, declaring statements like "good capture" or "yes, that is a classic orb/supercharged orb/orb in motion". Now, those same websites - even the one that claims to have coined the term - are dismissing most of them as dust…because one guy said it on TV. Never mind the fact that the popular televised ghost show includes non-standard industry terminology (read - totally made up) and "evidence" that is sketchy at best. Somehow, the earmark for being considered a legitimate paranormal research group is whether or not you subscribe to the idea that all orbs are dust. Interestingly, some of these same groups that insist on that separation also claim to be psychic knowers (huh?), or describe slow film exposure as dimensional overlap (wtf?), or routinely employ the use of a Jacob's ladder (useless set dressing!) to determine the presence of paranormal activity.

There is no way to get rid of a ghost. They will leave on their own, or they will hang around forever. Own your ghost. Talk to your ghost. Embrace it. Call us and let us take pictures.

As always, Wailing Bansidhe is keepin' it real!
