Our
most recent investigation took us to Jerome, Arizona where we stayed at the
notoriously haunted and impeccably clean Jerome Grand Hotel. Originally built
as the United Verde hospital, it has enjoyed quite a history of well documented
paranormal activity ranging from the sounds of disembodied coughing to the desperate
cries of a caretaker that died in the elevator shaft under questionable circumstances.
This hotel is a "must-see" for anyone interested in the paranormal.
The hotel staff is exceptionally accomodating to anyone wishing to investigate
and are extremely friendly. We give it two enthusiastic thumbs up! **update**So
two years later we revisited the Jerome Grand and the "new" lady at
the front desk told us we couldn't look around and they "really don't like
to advertise anything having to do with being haunted". Except if you tell
anyone in Jerome why you are there, the very first thing they will ask you is,
"have you been up to the Grand?" So if you plan to investigate this
hotel, plan on staying there, and book far in advance!
Here
is a picture of our junior investigators hard at work. Notice above their heads
there is a very distinct face that was certainly not there when the picture
was taken...weird, huh? I usually mock these kinds of pictures in disbelief
when I see them on other sites, but now I may have to take that all back...in
the wee hours of the morning I heard a female voice whisper in my ear, "Hurry
up, Cynthia!"...I laughed about it at the time, but now I have to wonder,
is that Cynthia?
This
was taken in a nearby movie memorabilia shop and restored theater...Mikal had
a nice, creepy encounter here as he was walking around the theater. He was alone
upstairs at the time and as he began to descend the stairs, he turned around
to admire some of the movie stills that are on display and as he turned he saw
someone walk past, he followed in the direction of the "person" but
there was still nobody else up there with him...as soon as he came down and
told me, I snapped this orb photo...
